Luxury car buyers on the hunt for a brand-new seven-seater are in luck, as Auto Nation Group (ANG)—Mercedes-Benz’s official local distributor—has just launched the all-new GLB featuring a third row and two extra seats in the back.
The vehicle is the first compact SUV from the German carmaker to come with seven seats, and it’s a characteristic that ANG hopes will help draw in more space-conscious buyers in the local market. The all-new GLB is available in just one variant, the GLB 200 AMG Line, and carries a P3,790,000 introductory price tag.
What do you get for that amount? For starters, you’ll be driving home a seven-seater that stands out, thanks to a bold face with a large grille featuring the brand’s iconic three-pointed star, as well as modern LED headlights. The vehicle runs on 19-inch alloy wheels, and gets exterior niceties like polished aluminum roof rails and body-painted side skirts.
Inside, the GLB flaunts a seven-inch multimedia display with smartphone integration, as well as safety features like window airbags, driver attention assist, adaptive brake lights, and a tire pressure loss warning system. It also comes with a reverse camera for convenient parking. This is all on top of a stealthy cabin vibe with contrasting silver and black elements.
The Mercedes-Benz GLB 200 AMG Line comes packing a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine capable of 163hp at 5,500rpm and 250Nm of torque between 1,520-4,000rpm. It also gets Dynamic Select drives like Eco, Comfort, and Sport, allowing owners to make changes to the vehicle’s performance on the fly. It comes in eight colors: Mountain Grey, Cosmos Black, Denim Blue, Digital White, Galaxy Blue, Iridium Silver, Night Black, and Polar White.
