Yeah, we know Metro Manila traffic hasn’t reached pre-pandemic levels yet. EDSA’s packed at times, but it still isn’t that packed. If you’re looking for something a little more premium to be stuck in traffic in once the flow of cars returns to “normal,” Lexus has something you may be interested in checking out.
The Japanese luxury car brand has just introduced the 2021 LS to the local market, and the new full-size sedan brings with it a level of refinement few other models in the segment possess.
For starters, the exterior is simply stunning. Most of the vehicle’s surfaces are clean, but the manufacturer has managed to place stronger design features in all the right places. The face, for example, features a grille design that’s as large as it is intricate flanked by angry headlights with the nameplate’s signature DRLs. And the side profile manages to stay minimalist despite the presence of bold character lines.
It’s inside, though, where the 2021 LS truly shines. Covered in premium materials and attractive design elements, it’s clear the company has spared little expense when it comes to this cabin. Units, save for the base variant, come equipped with 28- and 22-way adjustment for the front and rear ottoman seats, respectively. And a 23-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound setup is available to pair with the vehicle’s 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
You have two engine options here: A hybrid setup featuring a 3.5-liter V6 engine capable of 294hp and 350Nm, and a separate 3.5-liter V6 with 415hp and up to 600Nm. The former comes paired with a multi-stage hybrid transmission, while the latter gets a 10-speed automatic. Check out the official prices and variants below:
