Nissan just keeps upgrading its lineup in other markets. There’s the refreshed Navarathe new Kicks e-Power, and the all-new Qashqai. Now, it has introduced yet another updated model: the Micra.

This is the fifth-generation model of Nissan’s popular city car, and the Japanese carmaker is refreshing its range for 2021. There are only subtle design changes, but Nissan has announced that an all-new N-Design trim is available and that the N-Sport trim is now also a mainstay in the Micra roster, joining the Visia, Acenta, and Tekna variants.

The N-Design trim’s cabin sports black cloth seats with gray accents and a touch of leather all around. The snazzy ‘Energy Orange’ interior package comes as an option.

Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility system is available in the Tekna variant, which includes the 360-degree view monitor and blind-spot detection. There’s also a Bose Personal audio system available for this trim. As for the NissanConnect infotainment system with TomTom navigation, this feature is available across the Micra range. This infotainment supports Apple CarPlay with Siri voice recognition and Android Auto with Google Assistant function.

The Micra now also gets a sole engine option: A 1.0-liter turbopetrol that’s Euro 6-compliant. There are no exact figures provided, but the engine is supposedly more fuel-efficient with reduced emissions.
