At the moment, all of the limelight is being aimed at the Ford Bronco. That’s totally understandable given that it’s the first time in nearly 60 years that the country is getting the off-road icon.
But let’s not forget the other car Ford Philippines formally launched as well. That’s the all-new Mustang, and we’re glad to share with you full details of it, as well as pricing.

The seventh-generation Ford Mustang was first previewed in the Philippines back in April. It was shown during the pony car’s 60th anniversary bash to the media and to Mustang enthusiasts in the country. Locally, it’s available in two flavors, namely the turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost and the 5.0-liter V8-powered GT.
Spotting the differences between the two shouldn’t be too difficult. The EcoBoost has a honeycomb grille and 19-inch alloys painted in grey. The GT on the other hand adds a unique grille, hood vents, and black multi-spoke wheels with a staggered tire combination. Oh, and a 5.0 badge on the fender, too. Also, the EcoBoost has a horse badge at the back while the GT ditches that for a, um, GT badge.

Inside, however, they’re practically identical. Trims and fabrics are all the same, along with the digital instrument cluster and infotainment functions. Both EcoBoost and GT also have Recaro seats, wireless charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system.
The all-new Mustang features the latest version of Ford’s advanced driver assist system. Dubbed the Ford Co-Pilot360, it comes with adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, 360-degree cameras, and evasive steer assist, to name a few.

Local-spec Mustangs come equipped with the Performance Pack. Standard in both EcoBoost and GT models, it gives both variants magnetic dampers, Brembo brakes, and an active exhaust system as to not wake up the neighbors. This package also throws in a limited-slip differential and a 3.55 axle ratio for quicker launches and more secure handling.
And now, for the engine stats. The 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder in the EcoBoost produces 315hp and 475Nm of torque. The 5.0-liter V8 on the other hand bumps that up to 486hp and 567Nm of torque. Both are mated to a ten-speed automatic transmission.
