A few months ago, Toyota updated the Fortuner lineup to include some improvements along the way. One of them is a major overhaul of the Q variant.

It’s been on sale for quite some time now, but it’s always worth revisiting it. Besides, Toyota Motor Philippines has been making noise about this variant on its socials recently.

From now on, the Toyota Fortuner Q now shares the same look as the higher-spec LTD. So, what are the differences now that they appear identical?

For starters, the Q isn’t available with a two-tone paint finish. On the flipside, there’s a wider color options list for this variant. It also loses the bi-beam LED headlights, although it still comes with a single LED unit. It’s worth pointing out that the entry-level G and the V that sits just above base retain the more rounded look.

Inside, the new Toyota Fortuner Q gets a redesigned instrument cluster and it comes with a single-tone leather interior. It gets a new touchscreen audio display, now at nine inches and has a new interface to go along with it. The new screen also includes wireless Apple CarPlay, while the 360-degree view camera gets upgraded as well.

Like before, the Fortuner Q comes with Toyota Safety Sense. It includes deatures such as pre-collision system (PCS), lane departure alert (LDA) with yaw assist, and adaptive cruise control (ACC). On top of that, there’s blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. All Fortuners for the 2024 model year come with a Data Communication Module that allows it to connect to the MyToyota Connect app.

Powering the Q is the familiar 2.8-liter turbodiesel engine. It’s good for 201hp and 500Nm of torque. This variant only comes with two-wheel drive and shifts with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Prices for the Toyota Fortuner Q start at P2,194,000 to P2,209,000 should you specify it in Platinum White Pearl Mica.
