Audi has revealed a set of images of a moody, steroidal Q6 e-tron with the hashtag #ThisIsAudi. Though, underneath that hashtag sits a disclaimer: “it is not available as a production vehicle”. So, #ThisIsAudiButNotAnAudiYouCanBuy.
#ThisIsAnAudiConcept, then; a flurry of imagination nestled in a flurry of snow. It’s a Very Offroad take on the Q6 e-tron Sportback, revealed via Audi’s social media channels as a rough und tumble take on the heavyweight e-SUV/Coupe.

And it’ll do lots of rough und tumble, because the only information – indeed the sole line – Audi has provided on this Q6 e-tron offroad concept is that it packs portal axles. Portal axles mean it’s got ground clearance for days.
So, “this is quattro redefined”. And it looks mean. Audi’s given the concept seriously flared arches, a smattering of lights bolted onto that front grille like jewellery, a roof rack and roof lights, beefy side sills and a set of chunky snow tyres.

No surprises as to why the Q6 Sportback version was given the mountain-climbing treatment – we know the less-practical version of the Q6 is the more popular of the two Q6 shapes.
What lurks underneath that popular, now Very Offroad bodystyle in terms of battery und power remains a mystery. But Audi has plenty of both, especially in the shape of the SQ6, which pumps out 482hp via a pair of motors and 100kWh battery.
