We first saw the all-electric in person Mazda 6e at last year’s Bangkok International Motor Show, and here we have it again at BIMS 2026—this time with a confirmed price tag.

The base Premium variant goes for 1,169,000 Thai baht (around P2.147 million) and the more upscale Exclusive variant is priced at 1,199,000 Thai baht (around P2.202 million). This gives us a frame of reference as to what buyers in the Philippine market could cross-shop it with in the future.

The 6e is an electric rear-wheel-drive liftback, and if priced around P2.15 million, it will go up against the Tesla Model 3, specifically the mid-spec RWD variant. As of writing, the Model 3 stickers for P2.109 million, which actually undercuts Mazda (again, assuming that local pricing will match Thai prices).

But let’s say 6e will be in the P2.25-million range. That places it in the same segment as the Hongqi EH7, another premium electric sedan from China, which starts at P2.28 million. As it stands, no matter how pricing shapes up for the 6e in the Philippines, it’s bound to run into interesting matchups and comparisons.

Still, Mazda is quite confident with its pricing strategy, highlighting that the 6e punches well above its price class. Is that a genuine statement of confidence, or just another spicy marketing zinger? Only time will tell as more drivers get behind the wheel of the 6e.

Other information revealed during BIMS 2026 includes the 6e’s powertrain specs. It packs a rear-mounted electric motor that generates 255hp and 320Nm of torque. The 77.9kWh lithium-ion battery is good for around 654km of range on a single charge. With DC fast-charging, Mazda claims the 6e’s battery can be topped up from 30% to 80% in just 15 minutes.
