In addition to unveiling the Sealion 08, Seal 08, and Atto 3, BYD has also showcased its Ocean-V concept car at Auto China 2026. The Ocean-V is an electric MPV with bold styling and a high ground clearance.
Design-wise, the Ocean-V features a boxy front fascia with vertically positioned LED headlights and an LED lightbar across the bottom of the windshield. The sides get large overfenders, aerodynamic side mirrors (which are most likely cameras), and thick side moldings to protect the paint from rock chips and scratches.

The Ocean-V has geometric body lines connecting throughout the vehicle. The silhouette has a rugged but futuristic look with hard edges complemented by soft curves on the front and rear bumpers.

The concept car on display had a three-tone colorway. The teal body features silver accents on the sides. The black paint on the A-pillars, combined with the seamless window edges, creates one solid line from the windshield to the rear window.

To complete the design, BYD sat the Ocean-V on large wheels finished in black and brushed silver. There are noe official dimensions yet, but by the looks of it, this MPV is comparable in size to a Sealion 6 but with a shorter hood.
As of writing, the only MPV in BYD’s lineup is the eMax 7, although that one was designed more as a family-mover. This Ocean-V concept provides spacious practicality with a more adventurous take on the MPV segment. Let’s see what will become of it in the future.
