The BYD Sealion 7 is officially launching in the Philippines on May 28. The fully electric SUV will be presented at the BYD Tech Tour in Glorietta 4, Makati. Apart from seeing it in the metal, you can also take it out for a test drive at the event.
The BYD Tech Tour is happening from May 28 to May 31, so don’t worry if you can’t make it on the first day. The event kicks off from 1pm to 9pm on Thursday (May 28), and will be open from 11am to 9pm on Friday (May 29) and 10am to 10pm on the weekends (May 30–31).
If you need a quick refresher, the Sealion 7 was previewed at the 2026 Manila International Motor Show in April. It has an 82.56kwH Blade Battery powering two electric motors delivering a combined output 523hp and 690Nm of torque. The fully electric SUV sends power to all four wheels and can go from 0 to 100kph in 4.5 seconds. It also has a listed maximum cruising range of 542km.

The Sealion 7 is slightly larger than the Sealion 6, measuring 4,830mm long and 1,925mm wide, but slightly lower at 1,620mm tall. Other features include V2L charging ports, a 360-degree camera, a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen display, voice assistant functions, and a host of safety and driver-assist features.
As of writing, only the AWD version of the Sealion 7 is launching in the Philippines. The official price will be shown at the event, with BYD announcing event-only exclusive offers for people reserving onsite.
