The all-new Chery Tiggo rEV LE is the latest addition to the already expansive Tiggo lineup. Now with seven models, this latest release stands as the largest and most expensive Tiggo on the Philippine market.

Stickering for P1.528 million, the Tiggo rEV LE—which stands for Luxury Edition—is advertised as a fully loaded plug-in hybrid family SUV. The familiar 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and 18.66kWh battery are still at the heart of this Tiggo rEV, making 201hp and 310Nm of torque. The powertrain is then mated to a dedicated hybrid transmission. Overall, it is rated for about 1,400km of driving.

What makes this Tiggo rEV a more luxurious iteration is the refreshed interior, tied together by a 15.6-inch infotainment display up front and a wide panoramic sunroof throughout the cabin. That’s all complemented by a 12-speaker system from Sony, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The front passengers also get ventilated seats, with a nifty heads-up display (HUD) mounted on the driver’s side.

The large infotainment screen and the HUD should come in handy when engaging with the car’s suite of advanced driver-assistance systems. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alerts, and other key features are loaded onto the Tiggo rEV LE, and it’s further supported by a 540-degree camera system.

How does the new Chery Tiggo rEV LE stack up against other electrified seven-seater SUVs? Sound off in the comments.
