Today marks the Bronco’s 55th birthday. In celebration, Ford has released five new adventure concepts built on the next-generation Bronco and Bronco Sport.
The first of the five is the Bronco Four-Door Outer Banks Fishing Guide and the only model on this list that’s not based on a Badlands series model. This Bronco has been fitted with a Bestop Sunrider first-row soft top with factory-style concept roof rails and crossbars. There’s also a Yakima LockNLoad Platform roof rack up top and a slide-out tailgate at the rear to serve as a work surface for fishing rod repairs and the like.
Next up is the Bronco Two-Door Trail Rig. This one boasts tube doors, beadlock-capable wheels, and a 40-inch RIGID LED lightbar. There’s also a Yakima Platform roof rack up top for equipment such as shovels, recovery gear, and a WARN winch that “helps rescue your lesser-equipped 4x4 friends.”
Third is the Bronco Sport Trail Rig. It sports 31-inch BFGoodrich mud-terrain T/A KM3 tires as well as RIGID LED off-road lights on the front nudge bar. There’s a one-inch lift kit, a Yakima roof rack up top, and off-road gear mounts, recovery boards, and jerry cans all around.
Fourth is the Bronco Sport TOW RZR. As the name suggests, it specializes in towing with a Class II Trailer Tow Package that can tow up to 998kg in total. It’s also capable of loading gear and accessories with an OffGrid medium cargo basket and Yakima HD Bar crossbars.
Last is the Bronco Sport Off-Roadeo Adventure Patrol. Apart from the accessories such as the lightbars, roof racks, and recovery boards that we’ve already seen in the other models, this last Bronco Sport gets a Yakima interior bike rack that can hold up to two mountain bikes. In addition, it also has a landing platform for drones.
