After launching in Australia, the 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 Ford Everest may be on its way to the Philippines next. The Land Transportation Office (LTO) recently published homologation papers for an Everest Platinum variant with the aforementioned powertrain.
Down Under, Platinum-titled vehicles serve as Ford’s top-of-the-line offerings. With that, the Everest Platinum also gets a full-time 4WD system along with premium finishes and styling. In terms of power, outputs of 247hp and 600Nm of torque are managed via a 10-speed automatic transmission.

If Ford Philippines is indeed debuting this more powerful Everest, it would supersede the current Titanium models and introduce full-time 4WD capability to the local stable. It would also be the most powerful diesel offering, strongly surpassing the 2.0-liter bi-turbo mill.

That engine is currently used in the locally available Ranger Raptor and the Everest Titanium+ 4x4. It still makes a strong, but more conservative, 208hp and 500Nm.

Interestingly, this Everest could debut alongside another Platinum model in a new Territory Hybrid. The Department of Energy recently recognized that particular crossover in its database of electric vehicles, hinting at another prospective launch. In 2025, the Everest led the midsize 4x4 SUV segment, while the Territory Hybrid got off to a strong start after its debut. New top-spec variants could keep these respective lineups fresh for the next year or so.
With diesel prices still fluctuating, a turbocharged V6 might be too costly to run, but a full-time 4x4 drivetrain on a fully loaded Everest sounds too intriguing to pass up. More as we get it.
