The GAC GN8 PHEV Executive is officially in the Philippines. Launched alongside the all-new GN6 and E8 HEV, this model is GAC’s most premium new seven-seater offering and has an asking price of P3,488,000. However, GAC Philippines has also announced an introductory sticker price of P3,338,000, slashing the SRP by P150,000.
Aside from being the most lavish out of the three, the GN8 is also the largest. It measures 5,247mm long, 1,893mm wide, and 1,823mm tall with a 3,070mm wheelbase. It looks the part, too, with a large chrome-finished front grille aiding in the vehicle’s strong road presence.
Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged Miller-cycle gasoline engine paired with a permanent-magnet synchronous motor. Together, the system delivers 373hp and 630Nm to the front wheels. The luxury MPV also features a 25.5kWh battery, which helps achieve a combined range of 1,038km and 120km in pure-electric mode.

The cabin is plush with plenty of space for the seven-seat layout. Up front, there’s a large 12.3-inch instrument panel, a 14.6-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless smartphone charger, and a cup holder with heating and cooling.
As expected, the second row is where you’ll find more niceties. The leather-upholstered captain seats have heating, ventilation, and a massage feature, which can all be controlled through the touchscreen on the armrest. There’s also an overhead drop-down screen and tray tables that stow away neatly behind the front row. Other second-row amenities include power-adjustable leg rests and a memory function to save your seating position.
The third row isn’t as tech-filled as the middle, but passengers seated here can still benefit from comfortable leather seats, soft-touch padding, the Zero Breeze A/C system, and the 16-speaker audio system courtesy of Yamaha.
