A few weeks ago, we got our first look at Geely’s off-road-capable full-size SUV, the Galaxy Cruiser 700. It has the chunky looks expected of vehicles in its class and plenty of power on tap with about 1,114hp from its triple-motor setup. Recently, new photos of the upcoming 4x4 PHEV have surfaced for us to pore over, this time of its interior.
This photo of the second-row bench seat is particularly telling. It doesn’t look like a third row of seats is tucked away out of view here, which could be confirmation of the Galaxy Cruiser 700 being a five-seater. If this holds, its dimensions could be closer to those of the Denza B5 rather than the B8.

Otherwise, it’s a plush affair as usual with Chinese SUVs like this. Plenty of leather and soft-touch materials wrap the seats and dashboard in a two-tone cream and tan colorway. Tall windows and a wide sunroof also offer plenty of visibility for all occupants.

Up front, the typical large central screen is present to house the system and infotainment controls. It also looks like an additional narrow screen is present on the front passenger’s side, tucked between dashboard panels. Zooming in shows that it’s reading out altitude, compass, and incline data—in other words, Geely’s own take on the Mitsubishi Pajero’s multi meter.

Interestingly, physical controls are also present in a big way on the Galaxy Cruiser 700. A fair amount of real estate on the center console is dedicated to rotary selectors and toggle switches, which are used for selecting drive modes and activating off-road features, respectively.
Props to Geely for not putting in a half-baked effort on these controls—the leather-wrapped gearshift lever and grid-pattern knob knurling are nice details that acknowledge the high-contact nature of these controls. Let’s hope these controls are just as satisfying to click and flip through when we get the chance to see them in the metal.

So far, everything’s looking good for the Galaxy Cruiser 700. Despite the fine print at the bottom right-hand side warning us that these aren’t indicative of the final vehicle and that details are subject to change, this does give us a fair idea of what Geely wants to bring to the market with this SUV.
Given everything we know about it, we expect it to sit around the P4 million price bracket. Are you excited to see this SUV make it to our market? Let us know in the comments.
