While Denza Philippines introduced itself with the elegant D9 MPV, the brand soon showed that it can get down and dirty, too. Enter the B5 and B8 SUVs, which pair off-road capability with efficient motoring, via plug-in hybrid 4WD systems.
For this guide, we’ll focus on the (relatively) smaller and more affordable B5. This vehicle also serves as Denza’s entry into the midsize SUV segment, but its extra height could have it face off against shorter full-size platforms. More on that later.

Variant and price of the Denza B5 2026
At launch, the B5 debuted with a single variant and price point, coming in at P3.798 million. However, Denza Philippines is currently offering a P300,000 introductory discount on its new SUVs, which effectively brings the B5 down to P3.498 million. That promotion is available until April 26, 2026, at the Denza Arena in Aseana City.

The B5 measures in at 4,888mm long, 1,970mm wide, and 1,920mm tall. That puts it between the Hyundai Santa Fe and the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado in terms of size. However, with its towering height, it stands closer to Toyota’s SUV. For context, the Santa Fe is just 1,770mm, while the Prado is a tad taller at 1,935mm.
Denza also equipped the B5 with 18-inch wheels shod in chunky 265/65R18 tires. Its wheelbase is also listed at an expansive 2,800mm. The brand has not listed its exact ground clearance, but given its off-road aspirations, it should be sufficient.
Overall, the B5 looks like a clean off-roader with just the right amount of garnishes and accessories. It could serve as a good base for buyers who’d like to dress it up, but as it stands, the B5’s boxy silhouette should satisfy modern car buyers and traditionalists.

The five-seater cabin is finished in Slate Grey with leather upholstery dressing the seats. Up top, the space around the sunroof has been covered with knitted fabric, while the rest of the interior houses the ambient lighting system and the 16-speaker Devialet audio setup. Around back, the cargo area can hold 470 liters. It can then be further expanded up to 1,064 liters with the rear seats folded.
Passengers will find five USB ports and a wireless charging pad to keep their devices powered. The cabin also houses an onboard refrigerator, along with dual-zone climate control equipped with a CN95 filter and a negative ion air purifier.
On the driver’s side, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster complements the head-up display. These screens sit next to the main 15.6-inch center screen, which has been loaded with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Powertrain specs of the Denza B5 2026
The B5 utilizes the DMO plug-in hybrid system, which was first seen on the BYD Shark 6 pickup. Under the hood lies a 1.5-liter gasoline engine paired with dual motors and a 31.8kWh battery. Overall, power is rated at 570hp and 760Nm of torque.
In terms of driving range, the B5 can reach 100km on just electricity, and 975km with a full tank of gas. There is also a single electronic differential system, along with dual-double wishbone suspensions for the front and rear.
Extra features of the Denza B5 2026
Denza has loaded the full DiPilot suite of advanced driver-assistance systems onto the B5. This includes adaptive cruise control, collision warnings, and traffic alerts. These features are further supported by a 360-degree camera setup and ultrasonic radar.
The B5 also comes with double-layer glass for improved sound deadening. It includes a spare tire and V2L capabilities for outdoor drives.
