If you thought the Honda City, with its sleek exterior styling and relatively cozy interior, was appealing before, just wait until you find out how much its newest variant costs.
Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) has just introduced the City 1.5 S CVT. Available for just P820,000, it’s the subcompact sedan’s most affordable variant yet. In fact, it’s even more attainable than the City 1.5 E MT, the nameplate’s previous manual-transmission base variant, and costs over P50,000 less than the 1.5 E CVT.
More important, the City 1.5 S CVT still packs Honda’s 1.5-liter SOHC i-VTEC engine capable of 118hp and 145Nm of torque. It also still comes with handy convenience features and aesthetic bits, including keyless entry and LED daytime running lights. Not bad at all.
The Honda City 1.5 S CVT can be had in four colors: Lunar Silver, Modern Steel Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, and Tafetta White. Units are already available to check out at Honda dealerships across the Philippines.
With the addition of the City 1.5 S CVT, HCPI has just made its best-selling subcompact sedan that much more attainable. How do you think this car stacks up against its competitions’ base variants?
