The year started off with rumors about the new Honda CR-V’s potential arrival. Well, it looks like the rumors were true, because Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) has just launched the updated model.
Unveiled alongside the new City 30th Anniversary Pearl Edition, the new CR-V Hybrid debuts with new variants and all-wheel drive for the top-of-the-line trim.
Let’s start with the hybrids. It still comes standard with a familiar 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine with dual electric motors. The internal combustion engine puts out 146hp and 183Nm while the motors put out 181hp and 335Nm. As mentioned, the higher RS e:HEV AWD E-CVT variant gets an exclusive real-time AWD drivetrain. A new hybrid trim is available in the VX e:HEV E-CVT.

The sole non-hybrid trim in the lineup now is the V Turbo HuNT CVT, which gets glossy copper accents and black and silver garnishes on the exterior. It also gets a ‘HuNT’ emblem exclusive to the Philippines.
In terms of amenities, both the VX and RS hybrid variants get a head-up display as well as an Individual Driving Mode. Honda Connect features come as standard, as well as, of course, Honda Sensing. Google Built-In features are also available, allowing voice commands.
The new Honda CR-V can be had in four different colors available across the range, namely: Platinum White Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Canyon River Blue Metallic, and the new Crystal Black Pearl. Honda is also offering an eight-year/160,000km battery warranty on the new CR-V. Regular prices range from P2.358 million to P2.838 million, but Honda is offering an introductory discount.
