Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) has just launched the new CR-V e:HEV in the market. What we didn’t expect coming into the event, however, was that the Japanese carmaker was also going to launch the Honda City 30th Anniversary Pearl Edition.
The City was first launched in the Philippines back in 1996. It has spanned five generations and continues to be one of Honda’s biggest sales drivers in our market. In fact, it’s HCPI’s best-selling model of all time.

Both Hatchback and sedan versions are finished in Pearl White and get black exterior garnishes on the grille, bumper, and spoilers. The Hatchback also gets blacked-out front and rear Honda badges. They also get special 30th Anniversary Pearl Edition emblems at the rear.

As expected with a special-edition variant, this City sees no mechanical changes. It still packs the same 1.5-liter naturally aspirated gasoline engine that puts out 119hp and 145Nm of torque. It also still gets a continuously variable transmission.

The Honda City 30th Anniversary Edition is now available in the Philippines priced at P1,039,000 for the City sedan and P1,279,000 for the City Hatchback. Your thoughts on these new launches from Honda? Let us know in the comments.
