Honda has just given the HR-V a ‘minor’ update in its home market of Japan; however, these new improvements could provide major comfort for drivers and passengers. The HR-V, or Vezel as it is called in Honda’s home market, also underwent a slight facelift that cleaned up its general look.
Starting inward, the HR-V now features rear air-con vents across all variants. That is already a standard offering here in the Philippines, but now, the base G variant in Japan is equipped with that same comfort. Additionally, USB-C charging ports were also added to the second row. On the higher e:HEV X variant, seat heating for the front passengers also come as standard.

Outside, the inner lenses of the headlights have been blackened for a sleeker impression. On more premium trims, the colors of the bumper garnishes and wheel arches now match the overall body. While the new HR-V looks a tad less sporty, it definitely appears more put-together.

Honda Cars Philippines has just refreshed the City and Civic for the coming season, while the CR-V got its own update in February earlier this year. Perhaps the HR-V will be next in line, as the Japanese carmaker looks to retain its top-10 sales position in the local automotive industry.
Looking ahead, Honda is reportedly developing an all-new HR-V, which will be built on its next-generation hybrid system. This crossover is said to debut in 2028, which does give us time for another update on the current model.
