Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) is starting the year strong with back-to-back launches of the special-edition City and the new CR-V.
For the purposes of this article, let’s focus on the bigger launch in the Honda CR-V. The compact crossover gets some styling updates and handy tech upgrades for 2026. Honda has also revamped the lineup, adding new hybrid options to the mix. Let’s take a closer look.
Variants and prices of the Honda CR-V 2026
The 2026 Honda CR-V range starts with the base V Turbo HuNT variant, now the sole non-hybrid option. The VX now also gets Honda’s e:HEV powertrain, while the top-of-the-line RS e:HEV now comes with all-wheel drive.
Regular prices range from P2.358 million to P2.838 million, but Honda is offering an introductory discount of up to P100,000 off, depending on the variant. An eight-year/160,000km hybrid battery warranty on the new CR-V is also available. You can view the full price list below.

Exterior of the Honda CR-V 2026
The overall silhouette of the CR-V remains unchanged, but for the base HuNT variant, Honda has added copper exterior accents with black garnishes on the wheel arch and silver garnishes up front. There’s also a ‘running board’ on the sides for a sportier look. The base trim gets 18-inch silver alloy wheels, while wheels on the two higher variants get piano-black finishes.
Speaking of piano black, the same color can be found on the RS e:HEV varant’s exterior. Honda has sprinkled these for accents on the side mirrors, bumpers, fenders, and even the shark fin antenna up top. As far as colors go, the new Honda CR-V can be had in Platinum White Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl, Canyon River Blue Metallic, and the new Meteoroid Gray Metallic. No red color options available for this update.
No changes in terms of size, however, as the CR-V still stands 4,691mm long, 1,866mm wide, and 1,681mm tall (+10mm for the RS) with a 2,701mm wheelbase (-1mm for the RS). Curb weight for the base HuNT is listed at 1,671kg, the VX at 1,728kg, and the RS at 1,809kg.

People have been clamoring for a seven-seater CR-V which has been missing from the lineup since the current generation was introduced. Well, now we have it, because the base HuNT now gets a third row in our market. Note, however, that the hybrid variants are only available in two-row, five-seat configurations.
As for the cabin, no major changes can be seen here. The RS trim still gets exclusive black leather RS seats with red stitching, while the rest of the lineup gets regular black leather seats. Eight-way power adjustment plus a four-way adjustable lumbar support for the driver’s seat and four-way power adjustment for the passenger seat come as standard.
Seats in the second row and the HuNT’s third row can be reclined for comfort or folded for added cargo space. The second row has a 60-40 split, while the third row is split 50-50.
Engine and specs of the Honda CR-V 2026
The hybrid variants still get the familiar 2.0-liter Atkinson-cycle engine with dual electric motors and a lithium-ion hybrid battery. The gasoline mill churns out 146hp at 6,100rpm and 183Nm at 4,500rpm while the electric motors put out 181hp and 335Nm. The hybrids get an E-CVT. The RS e:HEV gets real-time all-wheel drive, while both the VX e:HEV and the V Turbo HuNT have front-wheel drive as standard. The base V Turbo HuNT is powered by a 1.5-liter turbopetrol putting out 187hp at 6,000rpm and 240Nm from 1,700 to 5,000rpm. It comes mated to a CVT.
Underneath, all 2026 Honda CR-V variants are identical. MacPherson struts up front, multi-link suspension at the rear. 17-inch ventilated front and solid rear disc brakes handle stopping power, and an electronic parking brake with a brake hold function are available. They also all get 57-liter fuel tanks.
Extra features of the Honda CR-V 2026
Honda Sensing still comes as standard across the range, with the top-spec RS getting an additional Adaptive Driving Beam in its arsenal. A tire-pressure monitor, blind-spot information, a cross-traffic monitor, and a reversing camera with four rear sensors come as standard. The VX and RS hybrid variants get a 360-degree-view camera with an additional four parking sensors up front. These come with head-up displays and an Individual Driving Mode.
Google Built-in features that enable voice commands and other functions as well as Honda Connect are also available across the range. These go hand-in-hand with the standard 12-inch instrument cluster, as well as the nine-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Eight speakers are packaged in by default, but opting for the RS e:HEV will get you the 12-speaker Bose sound system. Other top-of-the-line-exclusive features include the sport pedals and rain-sensing wipers.
