If you’ve been waiting for the local arrival of the Honda Prelude, it’s time to get in touch with your nearest dealership: Honda Cars Philippines is officially opening order books for the sixth-generation model of the sports coupe on February 27, 2026.
Pricing for our market hasn’t been announced yet, but what we know so far is that the Prelude will be available in just one variant, the 2.0 e:HEV e-CVT. There are five colors to choose from: Crystal Black Pearl, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Racing Blue Pearl, Rallye Red, and the model-exclusive Moonlit White Pearl.

The all-new model returns after a hiatus of more than two decades with a hybrid powertrain. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter gasoline engine paired with dual motors and an e-CVT, and based on Department of Energy certification, it has a fuel economy rating of 25.6km/LGe.

While it borrows some components from the Civic Type R—namely, the dual-axis front suspension and front brakes—it’s the first Honda to use S+ Shift, which uses the hybrid system to simulate an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Deft handling also comes courtesy of an improved version of Agile Handling Assist.

We were able to drive the Prelude briefly on a side trip to Tochigi during the Japan Mobility Show last year. You can check out our first impressions of the car here. In the meantime, how much do you think the Prelude should be priced locally? Let us know in the comments.
