The Kia PV5’s larger sibling is set to make its debut on September 14. With that, the South Korean car manufacturer has released teaser images of the fully electric light commercial vehicle. Here’s what we know so far.

The PV7 expands Kia’s Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV) strategy, which gives individual customers and businesses multiple configurations under a single platform to support different needs. We’ve seen this with the PV5 and its Prime, Seven-Seater, and High-Roof Cargo variants. The PV7 will be the brand’s largest electric van so far, and while Kia hasn’t given official dimensions yet, its concept development stage specified it would be 5,270mm long, 2,065mm wide, and 2,120mm tall, with a 3,390mm wheelbase.

This means the PV7 will have the most cargo capacity out of the three PBV models. Kia highlights the van’s adaptability across various lifestyles and work scenarios in its teasers, showing a panel van cargo variant and a passenger variant. How many seats will it have? We don’t know yet. But based on the seven-seater PV5, the Passenger PV7 might have enough space for nine seats with a two-two-two-three configuration.

What we do know is that the styling will be similar to the PV5. Thin vertical headlights and gloss black accents on the hood and pillars give the new van a premium look. Meanwhile, the rugged-looking taillights and matte fenders remind you that this is still a work vehicle.

The PV7 is set to make its global debut at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, Germany, on September 14. Along with the PV7, Kia also plans to showcase its range of PV5 variants, showcasing the scalability of its PBV strategy. What do you think of the PV7? Do you think it will get more range than the PV5? Let us know in the comments.
