Kia recently released its sales figures for the first half of 2025. So far, it’s been a good year for them, selling 4,195 units in the first six months of the year. It represents a whopping 71% increase over last year’s figures, so the company has a lot to celebrate for.

On that note, if there’s still a need to prove that small, budget crossovers are the key to more sales, just take a look at the Kia Sonet. It’s no surprise that it’s the best-selling model that the South Korean automaker has in the country. However, the fact that it has a lion’s share of the sales within the company is telling.

Of the 4,195 units sold, a staggering 3,171 of those consisted of the Sonet alone. For those curious, we did the math so you don’t have to. The subcompact budget crossover accounted of 75.6% of Kia sales in the country. It’s a staggering figure, especially if you consider the brand’s rather expansive lineup.

While the little Sonet is doing the heavy lifting for Kia in the Philippines, there’s another highlight that’s worth mentioning. Thanks to the major overhaul of the Kia Sorento, the midsize crossover is experiencing something of a resurgence. Following its switch to hybrid power, sales have risen to, in the company’s words, ‘triple digits.’

Of course, let’s not forget that there are other models in the Kia Philippines lineup. The Soluto is still hanging in there, while the Seltos is now available with turbo power. The K2500 remains to be the company’s sole utility vehicle, while the Carnival has been a strong seller for the brand thanks to the option of diesel or hybrid engines. On the EV front, Kia has the EV6, as well as the flagship EV9.

Back to the Sonet, there are four variants to choose from with prices ranging from P778,000, all the way to P1,178,000. For full variants and their prices, check out the list below.
