Lexus Philippines took to Facebook to tease what could be the fully electric Lexus ES sedan. On its page, the Japanese carmaker posted a nine-second video with the caption, “In the Quiet, There’s Power,” and then continued with, “Soon—for those who know where to look.” Hmm, interesting.
In the teaser, a fascia resembling the latest-generation ES is seen speeding through the frame. Our guess is also reinforced by the Department of Energy (DOE), which has added the fully electric ES to its list of recognized electric vehicles.

If this is indeed Lexus’ next local release, then we can specifically expect the ES350e model. Based on information attached to the DOE’s listing, the midsize sedan is equipped with a 74.7kWh battery, and a total of 221hp and 268Nm of torque on tap. On a full charge, it should also be able to drive for up to 494km.

It looks like Lexus has been focused on its sedans, as it most recently launched the new IS in May 2026—with a total of three variants. With that, we wouldn’t be too surprised if the ES500e EV and hybrid ES350h models also entered the Philippine market.

In any case, the fully electric ES would also become the second BEV offering in Lexus’ current stable, joining the RZ after the UX300e was silently discontinued.
While Lexus hasn’t given a definitive date as to when this new release will be officially revealed, we’ll be keeping an eye out for any news. More as we get it.
