Damn, is the current-generation Mazda BT-50 already four years old? Man, time flew by fast.
It looks like Mazda’s truck is getting a mid-cycle refresh for 2025 when the current-generation model turns five. The carmaker has just teased the new-look pickup Down Under, and it seems like...well, let’s just say it might have a polarizing look. Emphasis on might, because we’ve only seen as much as the teaser has shown us.

See, the teaser clip shows the BT-50’s front fascia—albeit hidden in the shadows—with a massive Mazda emblem front and center. That begs the question: How big is that grille going to be? For some bizarre reason, has Mazda taken a page from the BMW design book? We suppose not. Well, we hope not, because the current front clip of the BT-50 doesn’t really need much changing.
That said, who are we to know which design fits the BT-50 better, anyway? Let’s just wait and see what Mazda has in store, because it did say that there’s a “comprehensive redesign inside and out.” Mazda has also shared that there will be significant enhancements to the Human Machine Interface as well as the pickup’s safety systems, among others.
The big reveal is scheduled for Friday, October 18 at 11am, which is around 8am on the same day here in the Philippines. Watch this space, people.
