Earlier this year, Mitsubishi unveiled the facelifted Xpander, marking the second redesign of this current generation. Now, it looks like Mitsubishi Motors Philippines is set to bring in this new-look Xpander to our market.
The Japanese carmaker just made the official announcement on its Facebook page. The updated subcompact MPV will debut on August 29 at the SM Mall of Asia, and it’ll be on display there until August 31. The display is open to the public and will be open from 10am to 10pm.

Details about the vehicle, however, remain scarce. What engine options will be available? Will we be getting the Xpander e:Motion, a.k.a. the hybrid Xpander? Is Mitsubishi adding that ‘Play’ variant to the mix? Questions, questions, questions. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait for answers.

What we do know is that this update comes with a slight rework of the MPV’s front and rear ends. There are new-look wheels underneath, and there’s also a new digital instrument cluster available on the inside. We also expect that the Xpander Cross will most likely be getting these same updates that the standard model will get.
We’ll keep you posted on details once we have them, or just tune in for the upcoming launch. In the meantime, tell us what you guys think of the updated Xpander. We’ll have to wait a little while longer for a next-generation model, anyway, so we’ll have to settle with this for now.
