Well, that didn’t take too long. A little over a month after its world premiere, the next-generation Nissan Patrol has made its way to the Philippines.

It’s quite a sight to behold here at PIMS 2024, and it’s not just because of its size. But before you get too excited, this isn’t the full launch yet. This is simply a preview of things to come. One thing is for sure, though, and that Nissan Philippines will make sure it arrives in local showrooms sooner than later.

It has taken 14 long years before the world saw an all-new Patrol. It now rides on an all-new chassis, has a totally overhauled interior, and of course, that new 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine derived from the GT-R.

The boxier and more angular exterior puts emphasis on the 2025 Nissan Patrol’s larger dimensions. For those who are curious, it measures 5,205mm long and 2,030mm wide, with a wheelbase of 3,075mm. The face of the redesigned Patrol, one that features a bolder interpretation of the V-Motion grille and C-shaped headlights, is expected to appear in one way or another in future Nissan SUV and pickup models.

Inside, it’s a dramatic leap over the outgoing Patrol. Common in luxury vehicles these days, a wide housing places the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system all in one panel. Each of these screens measure a whopping 14.4 inches.

Thankfully, buttons are still present inside, and we’re glad that the Japanese have resisted the urge to shove a big chunk of basic controls in the touchscreen. As always, there’s acres of premium materials, soft-touch panels, and leather trim in the 2025 Patrol.

Final specs are yet to be revealed, but it’s safe to say that the Philippines will get the twin-turbo V6 engine. It’s good for 425hp and 700Nm, making it even more powerful than the outgoing Patrol Nismo with its bigger 5.6-liter V8. We’re genuinely curious about the boosted V6’s soundtrack, though.

The official launch date isn’t final just yet. Once launched, expect to see these imposing SUVs in posh villages near you.
