The new Toyota bZ Woodland is set to debut in the United States in March 2026, as the latest addition to the brand’s fully electric stable. While it looks similar to the existing, Philippine-bound bZ4X, it is actually longer and comes with a more robust AWD system.

On past Toyota models, the Woodland moniker used to label rugged-looking trims and variants, but on the new bZ, it stands as a completely new model.

Along with a longer body, the bZ Woodland comes standard with X-Mode—a new function that Toyota claims will enhance control and traction through optimized braking and power delivery. The new feature also adds ‘Grip Control,’ which regulates the car’s 375hp in lower speeds to further improve control on rougher roads.

Yes, you heard that right—375hp. That’s a healthy improvement over the 338hp that the current AWD bZ4X puts out. However, driving range has significantly decreased as the bZ Woodland is advertised for 452km on a full charge, while the bZ4X is rated for 570km. If optioned with all-terrain tires, the estimate is said to go down to 418km.

Apart from the all-terrain tires, the bZ Woodland is also outfitted with tougher-looking bumpers on the front and rear, thicker fender flares and side skirts, and a roof rack for bikes and other items you’d bring to the great outdoors.
