We’ve already spotted the all-new Toyota RAV4 here on local shores, so we knew it was only a matter of time before Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) made the announcement. Well, the announcement has come.
In a social media post, Toyota has shared that the next-generation RAV4 HEV is on its way to the market. The announcement even read: “Visit your nearest dealer now for more details.” We probably won’t be seeing anything on display at dealerships before the launch, but we can at least try to fish for details.

Speaking of details, we still don’t have much yet. All we know is that Toyota is planning to launch it in March, which is just a couple of weeks away. We still have no word on the pricing nor the engine options and such. But as we’ve mentioned a few times before, we know that in other markets, the RAV4 comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid setup with a 1.09kWh battery powering the dual motors.

We did notice that in TMP’s official announcement, there’s another SUV lurking in the shadows just behind the all-new RAV4. It bears the same headlights, but the front grille appears to be different. We spot a roof rail up top, too. Perhaps a more rugged variant of the RAV4? Or an entirely different model being kept as a surprise? We’re leaning towards the former.
Anyway, here’s the official announcement below. It shouldn’t be long before we finally get the details, including pricing.
