The all-new Tamaraw had taken all of the spotlights for Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) over the weekend, but it looks like this isn’t the only next-generation model the carmaker has been lining up for our market.
A source has told us that the all-new Camry is also on its way and we have the possible prices. No specs yet, sorry, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers, right?
We have conflicting details, though. One source says sales might start within December, while the other says the all-new Camry might be available in January. Either way, it’s right around the corner.

Now, the all-new Toyota Camry isn’t a complete stranger to us, as we have seen it up close at the 2024 Philippine International Motor Show. While we don’t have the official (or rumored) spec sheet just yet, but we know for a fact that the model made its ASEAN debut in Singapore with a 2.5-liter Atkinson-cycle four-cylinder engine that’s mated to a pair of electric motors that in total put out 228hp, good for 20hp more than the previous powertrain.
We also saw during the preview that the Philippine-spec model might get brown leather seats on the inside to go along with brown suede on the dash. There’s also a sunroof up top and a new-and-improved infotainment system mounted front and center.
Of course, there are also major changes to the exterior, where the Camry now has a more Prius- and Crown-like front fascia. C-shaped headlamps that flank the Toyota badge entirely and a new wide, gaping grille adorn the front clip.
So, those notes aside, how much will the Camry be? We’re told it could sticker for P2.651 million. Whether or not that already includes the White Pearl finish is still unknown. Then again, whether or not that proves to be correct is also still a mystery. In any case, these details may have flown under the radar given the recent big events, but this is still something to look forward to. As always, don’t quote us on this just yet, but rest assured we’ll keep you posted once TMP makes anything official.
