Toyota Italy has come up with a new special-edition Toyota GR Yaris that’ll be limited to just 51 units. Inventively titled the ‘GR Yaris TGR Italy Limited Edition,’ it pays tribute to the first-ever Toyota to win a race in the World Rally Championship.

Looks absolutely brilliant, too, doesn’t it? The livery harks back to the Corolla 1600 Coupé piloted by Walter Boyce and co-driver Doug Woods in the Press-on-Regardless (POR) Rally in Michigan in 1973.

All 51 examples will get those excellent racing stripes, gold forged wheels, and special limited-edition badging inside. Unfortunately, though, they will also all get automatic gearboxes.

Anyway, we’re told that each car will cost €67,500 (P4.2 million before taxes) and sold through the Toyota Italy website later this month. Each buyer will also get a passenger ride in the race-spec GR Yaris Rally2, plus they’ll get two VIP passes for the entire 2025 TGR Italy season.
