Finally. We can all breathe a sigh of relief, as Toyota Motor Philippines has finally launched one of the new models that shook the automotive world last year: the all-new Toyota Land Cruiser FJ.
It’s one of three new models for Toyota at the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show. We’ve seen this a couple of times before at the Japan Mobility Show and the Bangkok International Motor Show, but it’s a different feeling to see it on Philippine soil.
The Land Cruiser FJ, er, lands as quirky as advertised. It boasts that retro FJ-like styling, with a boxy physique and some modern elements added to the mix. As with other markets, the Land Cruiser FJ packs a 2.7-liter in-line-four, naturally aspirated gasoline engine that churns out 164hp at 5,200rpm and 245Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. This 2TR-FE powertrain comes mated exclusively to a six-speed automatic transmission with a 4x4 drivetrain.

There are two variants that are mechanically the same, with the higher trim getting a few more niceties. The higher VX gets 18-inch alloy wheels, a roof rail, and side steps as standard. There’s also a 12.3-inch infotainment system, an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a panoramic view monitor, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 in the VX—all of which aren’t available in the lower TX variant.
Color options for the Toyota Land Cruiser FJ in the Philippines include Smoky Blue, Oxide Bronze Mica, Platinum White Pearl Mica, Ash, and Attitude Black Mica. As far as prices go, it starts at P2.235 million for the base TX and tops out at P2.575 million for the top-of-the-line VX. Both variants can be had in White Pearl for an additional P15,000.
