For years, the Toyota Land Cruiser has maintained a foothold in the local automotive industry. Across many different iterations, it has remained as one of the go-to options for buyers with significant purchasing power who are looking for more plush rides.

Now, the newest version of the famed LC might just be the most relevant one in recent memory: It’s now electrified. Together with the Land Cruiser FJ and the all-new Hilux, the new Land Cruiser Hybrid. has just made its debut at the 2026 Philippine International Motor Show.

The Land Cruiser Hybrid sees minimal design changes, but its engine bay gets plenty of new bits—much different from the that of the standard LC300. The non-hybrid packs an F33A-FTV 3.3-liter twin-turbo diesel V6 that churns out 302hp and 700Nm, while the hybrid gets a V35A-FTS twin-turbo gasoline V6 capable of 409hp and 650Nm of torque. The latter comes with a single electric motor that puts out 48hp and 250Nm of torque.

Other mechanical bits are identical between the gasoline hybrid and the diesel Land Cruisers, however. This includes the 10-speed automatic mated to a 4x4 drivetrain, 20-inch alloy wheels, ventilated disc brakes, double-wishbone front suspension, and multi-link rear suspension.

Leather seats also come as standard, as well as the split-type LED headlights with sequential turn signals, the eight-way power adjustable front seats with a memory function for the driver, the 12.3-inch infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The head unit is also mated to a 14-speaker JBL sound setup. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 also comes as standard.

The new Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid stickers for P6.93 million, while the non-hybrid goes for P5.758 million. Quite hefty for the electrified, but note that this is also the first of its kind. For Land Cruiser customers, whether the lifers or the new owners, this is the first time ever that they’ll be seeing an electrified version of this popular SUV.

What do you guys think, then? Is the Land Cruiser Hybrid worth the SRP?
