The all-new Toyota Tamaraw became the subject of numerous articles over the weekend after Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) released more specs and opened reservations for this next-gen model.

An important question remained, though: How much will the all-new Tamaraw be priced in our market? Well, we now have an idea. A source has shared with Top Gear Philippines that TMP intends to price the Tamaraw competitively so that it can go neck-and-neck directly with workhorses from other carmakers, including the likes of the Mitsubishi L300 and Suzuki Carry.

We’ve been given estimated price ranges for each of the Tamaraw variants, which, of course, we’ll take with a grain of salt. Nothing is official until TMP says so.

The range could supposedly start at around P700,000 for the gas-powered Dropside, a variant that actually wasn’t listed on the TMP microsite for the next-gen Tamaraw. The diesel counterpart that was on the website could be priced at P850,000.

As for the Dropside HI—the trim that some of you might be eyeing—is expected to sell for under P1 million. No estimated range, only that it’ll be “under a million.” To give you a better look, we’ll list down the estimated prices for all variants below.

Toyota Tamaraw 2024 Philippine prices (estimated)

  • Toyota Tamaraw Dropside Gas – P700,000
  • Toyota Tamaraw Dropside Diesel – P850,000
  • Toyota Tamaraw Dropside HI – below P1,000,000
  • Toyota Tamaraw Aluminum Van Gas – P750,000
  • Toyota Tamaraw Aluminum Van Diesel – P950,000
  • Toyota Tamaraw Utility Van Gas – P750,000
  • Toyota Tamaraw Utility Van Diesel around P1,000,000

Again, we repeat: This isn’t official. These are merely estimates, and it could go both ways once TMP finally launches the Tamaraw. These prices could hold somewhat true, or they could be incredibly wrong. Rest assured, once we receive word on actual pricing, we’ll keep all of you posted.
