VinFast Philippines has added a new model to its pure electric lineup. Making its local debut is the VF6, and it serves as the company’s electric subcompact crossover offering. A pretty competitive segment that’s largely occupied by Chinese automakers.
With that, VinFast is gunning for more sales in the country with an expanded model range. It even seems that the folks from Vietnam are working double time to make an impact here.

Locally, there are two variants on offer, namely the Eco and the Plus. Key differences include bits of trim, power output, and range. Both the Eco and Plus use the same 59.6kWh battery pack, fairly sizable for this vehicle segment. The prior makes 174hp and 250Nm, while the latter puts out 201hp and 310Nm. As for range, the Eco can get up to 480km, while the range-topper has 20km less.
Inside, the VF6 features a large 12.9-inch center infotainment screen. Instead of a traditional instrument cluster, it uses a heads-up display. Below the touchscreen are the toggle switches for the gear selector, and it even has ventilated seats, at least for the Plus variant. Airbag count, on the other hand, is 8 for the top-spec version.
For those curious about charging times, the VF6 can get from 10 to 70 percent in just 25 minutes with a rapid charger. Customers are also assured of a seven-year warranty.
