At the recently concluded Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in Monterey, California, Bugatti put on display--for the first and only time, apparently--all six of its "Les Legendes de Bugatti" (Bugatti Legends) models.
The gathering of all six Bugatti Legends was done to mark the completion of the series that "honors key personalities and vehicles from the company's history." Each model was reportedly limited to just three units, with all 18 units said to have been sold even before the sixth and final model, the "Ettore Bugatti," was revealed.
"The Legends series is a great success," said Bugatti Automobile president Wolfgang Durheimer at the presentation of the models. "It shows that history can be authentically clothed in contemporary design. In addition, we have the technical excellence and luxurious comfort of a modern Bugatti. The Bugatti Legends have already proven to be highly valued collector's items."
As for the value of all six Legends models together, Bugatti claims the sum is a stupendous €13.18 million (P768 million). Or P128 million per unit. At least that's much cheaper than the P1.6-billion Ferrari 250 GTO auctioned at a recent Bonhams event.
