We recently reported Toyota Motor Philippines’ best-selling models in the market. We’re still waiting on a per-model breakdown, and we’ll be sure to update you with that once we get the numbers. In the meantime, we have something else we’d like to share: Tamaraw sales figures.

The Tamaraw has been selling well since its launch. Proof of that is the sheer number of Tamaraws we see on the road on a daily basis. What we didn’t know, however, was that it sold really, really well in 2025. So much so that on Tamaraw sales alone, Toyota would’ve finished sixth in sales among CAMPI members.

To be exact, Toyota sold 17,524 Tamaraw units from its official rollout in January last year until December. That’s pretty crazy. While we don’t know yet where it sits in internal sales rankings, we’re guessing it’s not far from the podium, considering the Hilux was in third with 23,735 units sold. Once we have the final breakdown, we’ll also be able to see how the Tamaraw fared compared to other popular Toyotas like the Raize and Wigo.

This year is set to be another big one for the popular workhorse, as Toyota will be holding One Make Races featuring the race-spec Tamaraws. We’ll all be seeing this at the 2026 Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup that’ll kick off in March—with a street race, at that—and we’re all stoked for some wheel-to-wheel Tamaraw action.
