2026 is shaping up to be a good year for vintage Honda and Acura owners. In April, the Japanese carmaker will launch Honda Heritage Works, an initiative that will see discontinued parts return to production and introduce a comprehensive restoration service.
At launch, Honda Heritage Works will open its parts and services to the first-generation Honda NSX. The program will eventually expand to other vintage sport-type models from Honda and Acura; however, no other specific nameplates have been confirmed.

The restoration service will only be available in Japan—specifically at the brand’s flagship facility in Takanezawa, Tochigi—but Honda will be shipping reproduced parts globally.

Parts production will be conducted in a two-fold approach: Select items will be reproduced with the same materials and manufacturing methods, while others will make use of modern components and processes. The former will be labeled as Genuine Honda Heritage Reproduction Parts, and the latter as Genuine Honda Heritage Compatible Parts.

For first-gen NSX owners in Japan, they can opt for either a “basic” or a “total” restoration from Honda Heritage Works. A basic restoration package will entail parts replacement on the engine, suspension, and other “age-worn parts.” The total package will include those replacements, along with a full exterior and interior restoration. That essentially means a fresh coat of paint and reupholstered seats for those 30-year-old NSX units.
We’re definitely excited to see this unfold. What other vintage Honda models do you want to see under this parts and restoration program?
