A couple of months after the launch of the GWM Haval H7, the model has become a key driver for GWM Philippines, allowing the brand to set a new monthly sales record of 232 units in August 2026. This is more than twice the previous record of 100 units set in June.
The Haval H7 answers the growing demand for efficient, electrified crossovers as fuel prices and flash floods continue to be a challenge for Filipino motorists.
This compact crossover has an all-hybrid variant lineup, with prices ranging from P1.298 million for the base-spec front-wheel-drive hybrid configuration to P1.698 million for the top-of-the-line four-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid. “August’s numbers are the clearest signal yet that Filipino motorists are ready for what the Haval H7 offers,” said Dax Avenido, brand head of GWM Philippines. “Since launch, we’ve seen this vehicle resonate the way we hoped it would—a genuinely capable, well-priced SUV that doesn’t ask buyers to choose between efficiency and performance.
“Doubling our own sales record in just two months tells us this demand is real, and we’re building our operations to sustain it through the rest of the year.”
According to the carmaker, it is “working closely with its dealer network to improve vehicle availability and ensure that customers across the country receive a consistent ownership experience.” The brand is set to open a new dealership in Bonifacio Global City, and also became a member of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) earlier this year. As for what it has in store next for the local market, it could be another EV in the form of the Ora 5 hatchback.
