Hyundai’s N division has come a long way over the years, and it’s now gotten to a point where it’s already on par with the older performance and motorsport arms from other automotive brands.
Proof of that is the upcoming Hyundai N x Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival later this month. Yes, it’s a thing, and it’s happening on October 27 at the Everland Speedway in Yong-in, South Korea. It’ll be a showcase of the high-performance models and racecars from these Korean and Japanese brands.

At the festival, Hyundai’s future-oriented prototypes including the Ioniq 5 N Drift Spec, the N Vision 74, and the Ioniq 5 N TA Spec will all be on full display. The Korean carmaker will also showcase its rally cars from its World Rally Championship program such as the i20 N Rally 1 Hybrid and i20 N Rally 2, as well as its high-performance road-going models like the Ioniq 5 N and Elantra N.
Toyota Gazoo Racing, meanwhile, will bring out its groundbreaking inventions like the hydrogen combustion-engined AE86 H2 Concept, the liquid hydrogen-powered GR Corolla. The GR Yaris Rally 1 Hybrid, GR Yaris Rally 2, GR Suprs, and GR86, among others, will also be present during the event.
In addition to all these, Hyundai Motor Group executive chair Euisun Chung and Toyota Motor Corporation chairman Akio Toyoda will both be attending the festival.

“We are excited to welcome the Toyota Gazoo Racing team, our competitors in the WRC, to Korea”, said Global Operations Division executive vice president Yeong Ho Lee. “This event will emphasize the fierce competition and friendship that coexist in motorsport and is an opportunity to demonstrate the pure passion for cars shared by both Hyundai and Toyota, as well as our commitment to further expand motorsport culture in the future.”
“We’re glad that Hyundai N and Toyota Gazoo Racing, which are competitors in world motorsport, are working together to create an opportunity to enjoy car culture beyond motorsport,” said Toyota Motor Korea president and CEO Manabu Konyama. “Toyota remains committed to furthering and strengthening motorsports culture.”
