ACMobility has officially extended its exclusive distributorship rights of Kia vehicles through its subsidiary Kia Philippines. The extension agreement was signed earlier this month on March 18 in Seoul, South Korea, alongside dealer principals and bank partners.

This comes after a breakout 2025 for the Kia brand in the Philippine market, showcasing 16.7% year on year growth. Key models in their lineup contributing to this success include the Sonet, the Sorento, and the Carnival.

Speaking on the extended deal, ACMobility CEO Jaime Alfonso Zobel de Ayala said: “This partnership extension represents a long-term commitment to the Filipino drivers who have embraced the Kia brand”. 2028 will mark a decade since ACMobility first acquired exclusive rights to the Kia brand in 2018.

Kia EV5 2026

Going forward, Kia Philippines looks to keep up the momentum from a strong 2025, as well as support the brand’s global electrification strategy. The Korean automaker has said that they will continue “reinforcing its portfolio across efficient fuel-powered, advanced turbo hybrid, and fully electric vehicles”.

Key to that strategy will be the EV5, coming soon to the Philippine market. The all-electric compact crossover will pick up where the outgoing EV6 leaves off, pairing an appealing form factor for Filipino buyers with all the perks of electric vehicle ownership. Specs include 550km of range, 214hp, and 310Nm of torque.

We’re looking forward to getting behind the wheel of the EV5 soon, as well as keeping an eye on where the Kia brand in the Philippines is headed. Stay tuned as we bring you the latest on both and more as stories develop.
