Having your car serviced under the new normal is a little different. You have quite a few extra things to consider, such as how long you’ll potentially be exposed at a service center or how to safely get around without your vehicle. As such, streamlining the process on the customer’s end should be a priority for every carmaker.
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines (MMPC) has the right idea. The Japanese car brand has a new aftersales smartphone app that allows owners to safely book service appointments with just a few taps of a screen. It’s called Mitsubishi Service Connect (MSC), and it’s an approach we hope more carmakers look into implementing.
Booking a service appointment via the app is simple. All you need to do is access its ‘Book Now’ function on your smartphone and select what service you want. From there, you will choose a booking date, time, and even a preferred service advisor. It can also search for nearby Mitsubishi dealerships using your smartphone’s GPS location. Once you have a booking, you’ll be sent an email or SMS confirmation.
“Time has always been a commodity of extreme value to our customers, especially now, during this pandemic. That is why we are introducing a feature-rich mobile application that makes servicing their vehicles safer, more convenient and completely transparent,” MMPC president Mutsuhiro Oshikiri said in a statement.
“The MSC mobile app is yet another brand innovation that shows our dedication to create vehicles and services that work for our customers.”
Simple enough, right? The MSC mobile app is available for download for both iOS and Android smartphone users, and is also accessible via a web browser. Do you agree that this is an option that more car manufacturers should provide to their customers?
