In light of the ongoing fuel crisis caused by conflict in the Middle East, Toyota Motor Philippines has announced that it will be putting the 2026 Toyota GR Philippine Cup on hold until further notice. This follows the Automobile Association Philippines’ initiative to support energy conservation efforts by suspending permits for AAP-sanctioned motorsport events.
The first leg of the Toyota GR Philippine Cup was held from March 13 to 15, 2026, in Riverpark, Cavite. The succeeding rounds that have been put on hold are scheduled in July, August, and September, and were set to take place at the Clark International Speedway and the Batangas Racing Circuit.

As the country’s oil supply runs dangerously low, the AAP is holding off all pending and new applications for organizing permits related to motorsports indefinitely. As you know, racing primarily utilizes petroleum products, and with the country’s current situation, only the essential use of gas and diesel is prioritized.
