As the conflict in the Middle East drags on, so does the rise of the cost of fuel. Another major price hike is incoming, thought not as steep as in previous weeks.

For the week of March 24 to 30, 2026, gasoline prices will go up by P8 to P12 per liter. For diesel, the increase will range from P15 to P18 per liter. Kerosene will have a price hike of P12 to P22 per liter. These numbers come directly from this morning's Department of Energy (DOE) press conference.

Although price adjustments in previous weeks were applied in increments, most oil companies will be applying the price hike immediately in full this week. Despite requests for continued cooperation from DOE secretary Sharon Garin, mounting losses in revenue have rendered companies unable to participate in staggered price hikes.

It's worth noting that on the higher end, this pushes gasoline into triple-digit territory; another round of price hikes like this will place it firmly above P100. Premium diesel is also beginning to breach the P140 mark. All in all, fuel prices have practically doubled since the start of the year.
