PH fuel price update: Big P1.40/L hike for diesel, P0.40/L for gas effective Jan. 27

January 27, 2026, will mark the fourth straight week of fuel price increases. Barring a small rollback on diesel a couple of weeks ago, fuel prices have significantly gone up since the start of the year.

For the period of January 27 to February 2, 2026, the price of diesel will go up by a significant P1.40 per liter, while gasoline prices will increase by P0.40 per liter. Finally, kerosene will also have a price increase of P0.80 per liter.

Once these adjustments take effect, gasoline and diesel prices will have gone up by P1.60/L and P3.80/L, respectively, since the beginning of 2026. Meanwhile, kerosene will have had an overall increase of P2.70/L for the year.

If you want to save up on fuel costs, remember that fuel prices may vary depending on location and the brand of the fuel station; it might be cheaper somewhere along your regular route than near your place of residence or work.
