There are only a few greater rivalries in the Philippine automotive market than the Nissan Patrol and the Toyota Land Cruiser. Both of these large SUVs have dominated their segment for decades, and they won’t be going away anytime soon.
The Patrol more recently got an overhaul, with the current generation known as the Y63 arriving in the market in 2024. Meanwhile, Toyota’s ever-popular nameplate—now known as the Land Cruiser 300—made its arrival way back in 2021. And now, we’re finally able to put together a proper comparo between these two heavy hitters.

Both of these have twin-turbo V6 engines, but the Nissan Patrol runs on gasoline while the Toyota Land Cruiser is powered by diesel. They have similar price tags at about P5 million each.
