A mix of style, decent size, and good fuel economy makes for a pretty great city car. That’s exactly what the Toyota Raize has, which is why it’s been turning heads since Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) launched it here.

But there is a glaring question among car buyers eyeing this subcompact crossover: Should you go for the range-topping turbo, or should you stick with the lower variants with the naturally aspirated engine? In a nutshell, he says the turbocharged Raize with its 1.0-liter in-line-three engine churning out 97hp and 140Nm of torque is all sorts of fun and comes in a very well-rounded P1,031,000 package. However, he thinks most people would be just fine going for the non-turbo variants with the 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline mill producing 87hp and 113Nm of torque.
