We often feature ‘Manila-proofed’ vans here at Top Gear Philippines. But as far as custom vans go, Bea Alonzo’s Ford Transit might be one of the most sensible ones yet.

Sensible isn’t exactly a fitting word for a fully customized van that’s worth a heap of money, is it? But Alonzo’s personal ‘taping van’—which she recently gave us a tour of via her YouTube channel—is equipped with appliances and accessories that are quite useful in the middle of a pandemic.

For starters, there’s a stowaway table so she can comfortably eat or study scripts inside the vehicle. There’s also has a microwave, a coffee maker, and a small refrigerator, so she can pretty much prep her meals safely inside the van. Alonzo can work inside the van, too, thanks to the built-in Wi-Fi connection. Or not work—there’s an entertainment system with a massive TV. Netflix is installed, of course.

One of the niftiest additions, however, has got to be the toilet and bath. In times like these when hygiene and sanitation are of utmost importance, the ability to clean up and shower inside your vehicle is priceless.

There are other toys and convenience features inside. It’s fitted with ambient lighting, a privacy divider separating the cockpit from the cabin, tons of storage compartments, and of course, a pair of captain seats. The seats also double as massage chairs, and one is built with a smartphone holder that’s actually a wireless charger.

Several functions of the Transit can also be controlled via voice commands through Amazon Alexa. Basically, this vehicle is like a hotel suite on wheels—minus the king-size bed. You can check out the full video below:
