Ah, another head-to-head drag race. In one corner, we have the Ford F-150 Raptor. Packing a 3.5-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost with 450hp and a whopping 691Nm of torque, and running on a tuned Fox suspension setup, this is easily one of the most capable trucks available in the market.

And in the other corner, we have the third-generation Hennessey VelociRaptor—which, if you’re familiar with its predecessors, you already know will embarrass Ford’s stock offering in the clip below. Watch:

Well, that wasn’t much a fair fight was it? Kind of a given, considering Hennessey Performance’s take on the F-150 Raptor ups the power and torque to a ridiculous 558hp and 911Nm over the stock version. The VelociRaptor setup is good for 0-60mph in just 4.2 seconds, and a 1/4-mile sprint in just 12.9 seconds. Yikes.

“The VelociRaptor has been our most popular vehicle for years, so with production of the third-gen truck now underway, we’re anticipating building hundreds of models throughout 2022,” Hennessey Performance founder and CEO John Hennessey said in a statement.

“The stock Raptor is a fabulously capable and very quick machine, so our customers love that we can enhance its power and performance to new levels.”

The 2022 Hennessey VelociRaptor will make its public debut during the Barrett Jackson car auction later this month. Only 250 units are being sold, by the way, so it’s extremely likely you’ll have to settle for the ‘regular’ old F-150 Raptor even if you have the $115,000 to blow on a unit.
