The Honda HR-V is currently in its third generation, and it has been one of the carmaker’s most promising nameplates since its debut. Its turbocharged powertrain offers a more spirited option in the subcompact-crossover segment, making it especially appealing to younger drivers and new car buyers.

Now, that peppy powertrain has been swapped for Honda’s e:HEV hybrid system, another promising component in the brand’s stable. However, the asking price of P1.799 million for the top-spec hybrid HR-V is quite steep, making us wonder if Honda Cars Philippines has pushed the pricing too high.
